About this book
This edition contains the same words that serve as an epilogue for El espacio original. This short text, initially published on paper, is dedicated to Mexico and openly proposes a revision of its originality… of its Mexicanness.
Considering language as the fundamental manifestation of every collective culture, its premise is clear: As a result of having spoken for centuries in a language that does not correspond to their natural world, Mexicans have exhausted the way to express themselves. And precisely because the code they use to shape their thinking and express their feelings is not originally theirs, their relevant creations are counted; their transcendent ideas, few; and their cultural influence so weak that nowadays is quite difficult to identify over which aspects of their own existence, and of the rest of the world, they actually have any kind of authority. And it might time for a change.
This is an epilogue written in a language that, perhaps, Mexico should give up. It is a conclusion that calls for Mexicans to start over, speaking in a different way.
